One of our guiding values is transparency, which is why we've chosen to be completely open about pricing. We've priced our tours with accessibility and sustainability in mind. We've tried to keep our tour price as low as possible to be financially accessible.
However, we do need to cover our overheads and pay our guides a fair wage, which is why the tour costs as much as it does. Still, we understand that, for some people, $50 can seem like a lot for a walking tour, so we've clearly broken down our pricing to give you a clear understanding of the actual cost behind each ticket.

- Commissions = $0–$17.50. Third-party sites take anywhere between 10% and 35% of a commission. So, depending on whether someone books directly or through a third party, this ranges between $0–$17.50.
- Guide = $25. We pay our guides well above award wage at $50 per hour. Based on our minimum booking number of 5 people, this is $25pp.
- Overheads = $7.50. Based on our minimum booking number of 5 people, this is $7.50pp. Our overheads include admin, insurance, advertising, uniforms, accounting, bookkeeping, tax, website maintenance, and other costs necessary for running the business.
- Profit = $0+. This varies depending on where someone books and how many people we have on the tour. We reinvest all our profit into growing our offerings and subsidising tours for community groups.
You don’t need to have a historical background to enjoy our tours, though we find people interested in history tend to love this tour. Our guides narrate without historical lingo, and questions are always encouraged.
This tour covers just over 3km in 2 hours. There are opportunities to sit and catch the shade here and there along the route. Participants will be asked to traverse some uneven sidewalks. There are no stairs on this route.
For this tour, our minimum number of participants is 4, and our maximum is 25.

👑 Meeting & finishing point. Our tour begins at the Hyatt Hotel & finishes at the Hotel Kurrajong (about a 10-minute walk from the starting point). Please arrive 10 minutes before the tour is scheduled to start to check in!

This tour doesn’t go inside any of the cultural institutions, although we’ll talk about each of the institutions in detail as we view them from the outside.
♿ Wheelchairs, Prams & Scooters. The route is fully wheelchair, pram & scooter accessible. We stick to footpaths and don’t climb any stairs. We’ve had folks with wheelchairs and on scooters and parents with prams previously come on the tour. Please let us know at the time of booking if you are bringing a wheelchair or scooter.
